Duties of the Financial Secretary of the Congregation:

  1. receive all funds and deposit them in the name of the congregation;
  2. supervise the orderly counting of worship offerings;
  3. develop a “counters worksheet”;
  4. keep a detailed account of all receipts including an accurate and confidential account of each individuals’ or family’s contributions;
  5. provide a confidential statement of contributions to the contributor on a quarterly basis;
  6. prepare for presentation an accurate account of the status of receipts at each regular voters meeting and at church council meetings;
  7. submit weekly reports on church income to the treasurer and the senior pastor;
  8. be a member of the Board of Finance and Stewardship.
